Our exquisite dishes
The dishes served at Mashikokan are carefully prepared using ingredients that producers cultivate with utmost care so that we can bring out the original flavors of these ingredients. We serve our guests dishes that are cooked from the heart, allowing them to experience the different seasons of the satoyama. The sake served during mealtime is curated from some of the iconic sake breweries in Tochigi Prefecture. We hope you will enjoy our local Tochigi sake brewed with Tochigi rice that is grown using spring water sourced from the Nikko mountains.
Our restaurant: Satoyama no Shokutaku
Our restaurant is reminiscent of a tree standing still in a forest that abounds with greenery.
The spacious space is divided into several dining areas with different atmospheres that draw inspiration from the satoyama.
Our restaurant embodies the relaxing yet somewhat dignified image of the satoyama in various ways.

Dining Area “Gaku”
This room is inspired by the idea of setting up tables made of natural wood in the forest.
Although the small tables here only accommodate up to four guests, it does not feel cramped at all because of the spaciousness of the room, where the natural curves of the wooden tables combine with the dim lighting to evoke a peaceful and cozy atmosphere.
The pleasant meal you enjoy here will surely bring a smile to your face.
“Rin”
This private room is suffused with the aroma of the forest, and its centerpiece is a table that preserves the beautiful form of natural wood.
This simple but elegant space allows everyone to sit facing one another at the table, which can accommodate up to six guests. Tucked away in the back of the area, this private room will make you feel like a VIP who has been invited to a secret hideout deep in the forest.

“Shizuku”
With its light-green color scheme, this private room will make you feel like you are fully immersed in nature.
Incredibly calming and relaxing, the atmosphere in this room is as pure as a drop of water. Designed as a fully private room that can accommodate up to six guests, Shizuku was inspired by the image of crystal-clear water from a spring that we had stumbled across in the mountains.
Relax in this tranquil space while indulging in Mashikokan’s authentic Japanese kaiseki feast of the finest quality.
Besides the above, there is also a convention hall and dining room where you can enjoy your meals or hold various parties and gatherings, as well as a karaoke party room and karaoke snack bar where you can hold post-banquet after-parties.
