How to get there from Tokyo
1.Mashiko’s visitor attractions are fairly scattered around, so a car is recommended for people who want to move around during their stay.
Tokyo Station-(Tohoku Shinkansen/around 50 minutes)-Utsunomiya Station-(rental car/around 40 minutes)-Mashiko
Time needed/around 100 minutes Fare/Shinkansen supplement: Adults ¥5,470 (6-12 year olds half price), rental car fee plus gasoline: 1 night/2 days around ¥10,000
Toyota Rentacar, Utsunomiya Station, East Exit:
2.For those who want to save on transport costs:
Tokyo Station-(Tohoku Shinkansen/around 50 minutes)-Utsunomiya Station-(bus/around 1 hour)-Mashiko Station
